We’re excited to support bold, purpose-driven science through the Scientific Environmental Assessment Network (SEANET). Our mission is to foster innovative research with tangible, real-world impact. Here's how to apply:

How to Apply:

To initiate your application, please submit the following to seanet.research@gmail.com:

• A brief abstract outlining your proposed research project

• A current CV

Selected applicants will be invited to advance to the second stage, where they will submit a 3-minute video pitch. This presentation should clearly communicate both the scientific innovation and real-world implications of the project, as well as how it aligns with SEANET’s research incentives.

Funding Tiers and Progress Tracking:

All grant awards begin at Tier 1 funding of $5,000. If awarded, researchers will officially join the SEANetwork and be asked to provide periodic updates on the progress of their work.

SEANET will monitor not only academic outputs but also real-world outcomes over the span of the scientist’s career. This long-term impact assessment feeds into the development of a SEANET Science With Purpose (SWP) Credit Score — a dynamic metric that reflects the sustained value and influence of a researcher’s contributions.

A strong SWP Credit Score will streamline access to Tier 2 awards, which can reach up to $100,000, helping researchers bypass the often burdensome and slow-moving traditional funding mechanisms.
